Kiln Notes

Visiting

The studio is not a shop and keeps no regular hours, but people do come by.

How it works

Work goes out after a firing, which is roughly every third week. If something on this site interests you, the honest answer is usually that it no longer exists — pieces are made in small numbers and not repeated exactly.

Classes

Two people at a time, four evenings, throwing only. No glaze mixing, no kiln work. There is a waiting list and it is longer than the course.

Commissions

Rarely, and not for sets of more than six. Matching a glaze across a large set is a different craft to the one practised here, and I am not good at it.
